Artist Statement:

Filmed on a Sony 2007 camera with photos taken on an iPhone 14, Lowlight 002 takes the form of a well-documented experimental performance through video and photography to further investigate material relationships. It understands identity development and self expression as a journey where the actions of the past and present inevitably influence future outcomes. It is the second iteration of Hawj’s video poem Lowlight 001.
