bridges to her (2022)
A short documentary film following Hawj’s family on a whimsical road trip through the midwest. This poetic reflection explores Hawj’s obsession with collecting trash, the dynamics between a diverse group of people, and what it means to cherish a journey rather than the destination.
See you soon (2021)
A sound piece paying homage to the sounds of loved ones and happy memories. Mixing voicemails sent to her phone and audio from videos in her camera roll, this intimate piece brings Hawj back to the safe feeling of a warm community while studying at an art institution. Listening to it forms a connection between home life and school life.
