Created in her Minneapolis apartment bedroom, Hawj manipulates found objects and trash from their urban environment to seek a sense of familiarity in a new living space.

Utilizing materials such as charcoal, ink, crayon, and sweat from her palms, Hawj practices mark making and a collage making process of meditation, destruction, and preservation of the moment.
